Pieces don’t stay together

I love the concept of puzzle twist. The pieces don’t stay together at all if you try and move a section though. So in a puzzle that you have to figure out where the sections go it makes it super frustrating to just eep redoing the sections because they fall apart.

Hi Sarah,

This is common with sharp die cut blades. With a clean cut the pieces don't stick together as well as they do when the blades have been used for a number of cuts. The ability of the pieces staying together vary depending on the age of the die prior to the die being retired. This is common with many puzzle brands as we're using similar equipment to manufacture our jigsaw puzzles.

Our specific die cuts - being interlocking and random cut - actually work well for keeping the puzzles in place (as opposed to a push-fit puzzle).

For situations when assembling a puzzle from a fresh die cut we recommend you learn the Mallery move for picking up sections of puzzle that need to be moved. Or in some situations, use a spatula. Here's a good video by Leslie Mallery herself teaching how to do the Mallery move:

Thanks for much for doing one of our puzzles and if you truly do like our concept please try another. I believe you will find the ability of our pieces to stay together will vary similar to any other brand based on the age of the die being used.
