Holiday Puzzle Derby

Compete against other puzzlers or just assemble for fun! Either way – brighten up the Holiday while supporting Second Harvest Heartland.

This fun event is open to everyone (shipping within the USA only).
Participants who chose to compete may complete the puzzle as an individual or as a team of 2, 3, or 4 people.
To be eligible to win first place, you must record a time-lapse video of your team assembling the puzzle with a stopwatch or timer visible at all times, anytime between November 27th and January 1st. (Only your first attempt counts toward competition.)
Competitors may not use the following puzzle-assistance tools:
- Spatulas, paper, or other items to move pieces
- Cell phones or cameras to photograph the box cover for reference
Cutting tools may be used to open the shipping box, bag, or shrink wrap.
Sorting trays of any size or quantity are allowed.

Shipping begins November 15th and we will continue shipping puzzles throughout December (or until sold out).

When your package arrives, DO NOT open it yet.
You'll want to capture your puzzle time-lapse video from start to finish:

Set up a recording device (e.g., fully charged cell phone) in time-lapse mode.
Place the unopened package in the center of the puzzling surface.
Make sure a stopwatch or timer is visible within the camera frame.

When you place the final piece:

Immediately stop your stopwatch.
Keep your time-lapse running for about 10 extra minutes to ensure your final time is captured.
Write your time and team name on the back of the puzzle insert sheet and place it in the center of your completed puzzle.
Take a team photo with your finished puzzle!

On January 2nd at 9 AM (not before!), post your time-lapse video to Facebook, Instagram, or X/Twitter using this caption:

Team (Your Team Name) finished the 2025 Holiday Puzzle Derby with a time of (Your Time)! @puzzletwist #PuzzleTwist #HolidayPuzzleDerby

Winning times will be verified by viewing the posted time-lapse videos on January 2nd and all results will be announced shortly thereafter.
