Maynard is definitely trying to blend in with nature — though that’s not easy when you’re surrounded by so many expert hunters! From his spot, he has a great view in every direction. Look closely near a smaller kind of owl — that’s where he’s hiding.

How well do you know your owls? Maynard is tucked within the image of a Boreal Owl — the one with bright yellow eyes and beak, a brown body, a white-spotted head, and no ear tufts. Boreal Owls like to nest in tree cavities… look under that owl and scan the evergreens closely.
